Job summary

Are you a motivated and reliable individual who takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service?

We are looking for enthusiastic Facilities Operatives to join our dedicated Facilities Team, helping to create a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.

This role plays a vital part in supporting patient care and ensuring excellent standards of hygiene across our healthcare facilities.

There are various posts available including the following hours:-

Post 1 - 21 hours per week to be worked 4:00pm-7:00pm over 5 shifts per week

Post 2 - 19 hours per week to be worked 4:00pm - 7:00pm over 4 shifts per week and 11:30am - 7:00pm 1 shift per week

Post 3 - 15 hours per week to be worked 4.00pm - 7:00pm to be worked over 5 shifts per week

The above posts also include some weekend working

Post 4 - 30 hours per week to be worked 07:00am - 1:00pm, Monday to Friday

Post 4 - 15 hours per week to be worked 4:00pm - 7:00pm, Monday to Friday

Main duties of the job

As a Facilities Operative, you will:

  • Clean clinical and non-clinical areas to the highest standards.
  • Maintain floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings and sanitary facilities.
  • Collect and dispose of waste safely.
  • Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
  • Carry out specialist cleaning tasks when required.
  • Work closely with patients, nursing teams and colleagues to provide an excellent service.

Education & Training

Essential

  • Basic general education
  • Literate & Numerate
  • Willingness to undertake future training as required by the post

Desirable

  • BIFM/NVQ level 2
