Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented FAI Reviewer to create First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with Aerospace Standard AS9102.
This role involves working with engineering drawings, purchase orders, and industry standards to verify compliance.
You will be reviewing FAI packages in our Milton Keynes office and you will ensure the accuracy and completeness of all engineering design requirement records on the AS9102 forms.
You will also be confirming that the First Article Inspection Record (FAIR) is accurate and complete for a part number or assembly and that all part, product, and characteristic accountability aspects are addressed prior to approval.Qualifications & Requirements:
Candidate must have knowledge and practical experience of the AS9102 standard.
5+ years of experience reviewing all aspects of first article packages in accordance with the standard, along with at least 5 years of hands on inspection experience with complex avionics hardware and assemblies.+
Strong background in manufacturing in the aerospace or military/defense industries required.
4+ years experience of working within an engineering environment.
In-depth knowledge of quality control methods and inspection techniques, such as dimensional analysis, non-destructive testing (NDT), and statistical methods, is essential.
Practical experience inspecting aerospace components and assemblies is necessary as well as knowledge of applicable industry standards is highly desired.
4+ years working with and understanding Purchasing documents, specifications, shop planning, drawings, 3D models and other technical instructions.
4+ years of demonstrated knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings, CMM data, digital product definition interpretation
Demonstrate evidence of product specific knowledge and experience as required
Good, solid communication skills, both written and oral in English.
Must have proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.Testing / Training Requirements:
