Senior Associate – Family Law

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor to join a highly regarded family law practices.

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £80,000

PQE: 5+ years


The Role

Working closely with senior leadership within the department, you will advise on a sophisticated caseload spanning divorce, complex financial remedy proceedings, private children matters and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.

The team has a particularly strong reputation for high-net-worth and complex family matters, including cases involving international considerations, business interests, trusts, pensions and substantial property portfolios.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of complex divorce, financial remedy and private children matters
  • Advising on high-value cases involving businesses, trusts, pensions and other complex asset structures
  • Drafting and advising on pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Working closely with Partners on particularly complex or high-value matters
  • Supervising and supporting junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals


About You

  • Qualified Solicitor, ideally with 5+ years' PQE in family law
  • Strong experience handling complex financial remedy and private family matters
  • Experience of complex asset structures, including but not limited to private limited companies, trusts, defined benefit pensions and SIPPs/SSASs.
  • Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers
