Fettler Location: Sheffield Pay: Around £14.00 per hour, plus shift allowance Shift Pattern: Continental shifts Job Type: Full-time, permanent The Role Shillito Group is hiring an experienced Fettler on behalf of an established manufacturing business in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in heavy engineering or manufacturing who is confident using hand and power tools. You will be working as part of a busy production team, fettling and finishing large metal components to make sure they meet the required quality standards before moving to the next stage of production. What You'll Be Doing Fettling, grinding and finishing metal components Removing excess material, sharp edges, weld spatter and imperfections Using hand and power tools safely and effectively Checking finished components meet the required quality standards Working from drawings, specifications and job instructions when required Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised Following all site health and safety procedures Working closely with the wider production team What We're Looking For Ideally, you will have: Previous experience as a Fettler, Grinder, Finisher or in a similar role Experience working with metal components A background in manufacturing or heavy engineering Confidence using hand and power tools Good practical and mechanical skills Strong attention to detail A good understanding of workplace health and safety The ability to work independently and as part of a team The reliability and flexibility to work continental shiftsExperience within steel, foundry, forging or heavy engineering would be an advantage.
