Job Description What you'll do /n You'll visit people in their homes to carry out vital research interviews on important topics like health, housing and transport. Using a tablet or laptop, you'll guide conversations that capture real experiences of daily life in Britain. /n This is not a desk job. You'll be out in your community, knocking on doors. People receive a letter beforehand, but they're not always expecting you. Some won't answer. Others will say no. That's completely normal and part of the role. /n But when someone says yes and shares their story? You'll know you've helped create change that improves people's lives. /n What you'll earn /n £20-£30 per interview (typically), plus: • Admin fees and holiday pay (12.1%) • Travel time at £4.68/hour (most projects) for travel to the area you are working in • Mileage at 36p per mile (up to 10,000 miles) • £250 bonus after your launch, then £250 more at two months and four months /n Average hourly rate: £15.12 (including holiday pay), with experienced interviewers earning more. /n What you'll need /n Essential: /n • Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car /n • Class 1 Business insurance /n • Right to work in the UK /n • Willingness to complete a DBS check /n • Reliable home broadband /n • Laptop or tablet with camera /n • Comfortable using basic technology /n • At least 18 hours available per week /n • Flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends /n • Strong verbal and written English /n /n Personal qualities: /n • Good at talking to people /n • Friendly and professional /n • Resilient and confident /n • Self-motivated and independent /n • Having good time management and prioritising skills /n /n Who this suits /n This role is ideal if you've worked in retail, hospitality, admin, driving, sales or any customer-facing role. You don't need research experience.
