Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer Location: UK Field Based (Ideal locations: Midlands, Worcestershire or M4 Corridor) Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum + Company Vehicle or £5,000 Car Allowance An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing technical business specialising in advanced electronics manufacturing equipment. This field-based role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge production and inspection systems, including x-ray technology, supporting customers across the UK with installations, servicing, maintenance and technical support. Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring customers maximise the performance and reliability of their equipment while delivering an exceptional level of service. Duties of a Customer Support Engineer: Install and commission specialist production and x-ray inspection equipment at customer sites Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and software faults Provide operator training and technical guidance to customers Support customer production through process and application advice Carry out equipment demonstrations and customer trials where required Complete service reports and maintain accurate CRM records Build strong relationships with customers through professional on-site support Travel throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays and visits to Ireland What we would like from you: Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Customer Support Engineer Experience working on electronics manufacturing equipment, SMT equipment, automation or precision machinery is highly desirable Experience working on x-ray systems, including medical x-ray equipment, will also be considered as the role involves supporting industrial x-ray inspection equipment Strong fault-finding ability across electrical, mechanical and software systems Excellent customer service and communication skills Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule Professional, motivated approach with strong problem-solving skills Experience using CRM systems and completing service documentation Full UK Driving Licence Willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays Why join this opportunity?
