Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer Location: South of England Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE + Overtime We are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a specialist technical business, covering customer sites across the South of England. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced service engineer with a background in X-ray screening, security inspection or associated detection equipment to join a growing field-based engineering team. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, service and maintain X-ray screening equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical faults. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections. Respond to customer breakdowns and provide effective technical support. Complete equipment testing and calibration where required. Provide customers with technical advice and guidance. Complete accurate service reports and maintenance records. Liaise with internal technical teams to resolve complex faults. Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant Health & Safety procedures. Travel extensively throughout the South of England, with occasional overnight stays.The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer. Direct experience working with X-ray screening equipment is essential. Strong electrical and electronic fault-finding skills. Mechanical troubleshooting experience. Experience working independently at customer sites. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. Strong customer-facing and communication skills. Full UK driving licence. Flexibility to travel throughout the South and stay away when required. What's on Offer £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience. Overtime available. Company vehicle.
