Key Field Service Technician Responsibilities: Carry out planned servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers across company sites.
Travel to different sites to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide effective roadside and on-site repairs.
Complete inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime.
Prepare HGVs and trailers for MOTs and ensure vehicles meet DVSA compliance standards.
Complete accurate maintenance records and associated paperwork.
Work safely and follow all company health and safety procedures.
Work closely with workshop and operational teams to prioritise repairs and maximise fleet availability.
Manage your own workload while working independently across multiple locations.
Field Service Technician Requirements: Essential:
Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent.
Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Strong focus on safety, quality, compliance, and attention to detail.
Full UK driving licence.
Desired:
Previous experience working in a mobile or field-based HGV maintenance role.
Experience preparing vehicles for MOT and maintaining DVSA compliance.
Experience working across multiple sites and responding to breakdowns. xrnqpay
