Finance Director Location: Melton, Woodbridge Hybrid Model Available The Finance Director will lead X-on Healths financial strategy in line with group processes, governance, and performance management, ensuring the business is financially robust, well-controlled, and positioned for sustainable growth in the UK primary care market. This role is both strategic and hands-on, acting as a key business partner to the Group CFO, MD and local leadership team. The Finance Director will proactively identify opportunities to accelerate growth, improve profitability, optimise pricing, strengthen customer economics, and drive operational efficiency. Through insightful analysis and commercial challenge, the role will help shape business strategy, investment decisions, and long-term value creation while maintaining strong financial discipline. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and deliver the financial strategy in line with company objectives and group requirements Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to drive growth and business performance Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling, scenario planning and investment analysis Provide clear commercial insight around pricing, customer economics, product performance and profitability Identify risks, opportunities and business improvement initiatives that support scalable growth Financial Control & Reporting Take full ownership of monthly management accounts, statutory accounts and board reporting Maintain strong financial controls and compliance with group policies and procedures Oversee tax, VAT, payroll and all statutory reporting obligations Ensure timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting across the business Commercial Finance Act as the lead finance business partner to senior stakeholders across the organisation Drive revenue growth, margin improvement and profitability through commercial analysis and challenge Lead pricing strategy, financial modelling and contract evaluation Monitor and improve key SaaS metrics including ARR, MRR, retention, churn, customer lifetime value and acquisition costs Support major contract negotiations, tenders and NHS framework opportunities Develop KPI frameworks and reporting dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements and cost optimisation Cashflow Management Deliver accurate weekly cashflow forecasting and reporting to the group finance team Ensure effective cash management and working capital optimisation Governance, Risk & Compliance Ensure financial operations meet the requirements of a regulated healthcare environment Support NHS assurance processes, audits and due diligence activities Identify, manage and mitigate financial and commercial risks Leadership & Collaboration Lead and develop a high-performing finance function Work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Operations and Technology teams Build commercial awareness across the business and support non-financial stakeholders in understanding key performance drivers Present financial performance, strategic insights and recommendations to the Board and senior stakeholders Essential Requirements Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Senior finance leadership experience within SaaS, software or technology-enabled services Strong understanding of subscription-based revenue models and SaaS metrics Experience operating within regulated, public sector or NHS-adjacent environments Proven track record of partnering with leadership teams to drive profitable growth Strong commercial finance, pricing and business partnering experience Experience identifying and delivering revenue growth, margin improvements and operational efficiencies Comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels Personal Attributes Commercially minded and results focused Confident influencing and challenging at Board and Executive level Analytical, detail-oriented and naturally curious Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insight Passionate about improving primary care services and patient communication Benefits: 25 Days Holiday Birthday Day Off Buy Holiday Scheme Cycle to Work Scheme Winter Flu Jabs Free On-Site Parking Learning and development budget with Professional Qualification Support Social benefits (paid social events) Employee Assistance Program Discount on Health Insurance Annual Salary Review Enhanced Company Sick Pay Monthly pizza in the office (Hybrid employees) / coffee voucher (Remote employees) SCG Mobile Benefit Employee Referral Bonus Pension Scheme SCG is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
