As a Finance Process Improvement Consultant in London within the financial services industry, you'll focus on streamlining accounting and finance operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This temporary role is all about identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions to help the organisation operate more smoothly. Client Details An organisation in the financial services sector, based in London. Description Supporting the Finance & Governance Workstream Lead throughout the discovery phase. Conducting stakeholder interviews and workshops across finance and wider business functions. Mapping and analysing current-state finance processes. Reviewing period-end close and Record-to-Report (R2R) activities. Assessing finance operating practices and identifying process inefficiencies. Performing root cause analysis on key operational, reporting and governance challenges. Evaluating governance frameworks, controls and decision-making structures. Reviewing accountability models and organisational responsibilities. Assessing debt management and lending-related finance processes. Working with finance and data teams to understand reporting requirements and data challenges. Producing clear documentation, findings and actionable recommendations. Supporting the development of future-state considerations and prioritised improvement opportunities. Profile Proven experience operating as a Finance Business Analyst or Finance Process Consultant. with Financial Services. Strong understanding of finance operations within large and complex organisations. Experience reviewing and improving period-end close processes. Good knowledge of Record-to-Report (R2R) and wider finance processes. Strong business analysis capability, including process mapping and requirements gathering. Experience facilitating workshops and conducting stakeholder interviews. Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and identify practical solutions. Experience assessing governance frameworks, controls and operating models.
