An established and successful electrical wholesale business is looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the company.This is a hands-on, commercially focused role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

With a significant number of transactions moving through the business, strong cash flow management and financial control will be absolutely central to the position.Managing a team of 4 finance staff, youll oversee the finance function while providing accurate, timely information to support the senior management team and wider business.The Role Key responsibilities will include:Managing and developing a finance team of 4Taking ownership of cash flow management, forecasting and working capitalOverseeing a high volume of financial transactionsProducing monthly management accounts and financial reportingManaging budgets, forecasts and variance analysisOverseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit controlMonitoring debtor and creditor positionsBank reconciliations and management of banking requirementsVAT returns and other statutory financial requirementsMaintaining robust financial controls, processes and proceduresSupporting year-end accounts and liaising with external accountants/auditorsProviding financial analysis and commercial insight to senior managementIdentifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and efficienciesThe CandidatePrevious experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similarStrong practical experience of cash flow and working capital managementExperience within a high-volume transactional environmentPrevious responsibility xwzovoh for managing a small finance teamStrong management accounts and reporting experienceExcellent attention to detail and financial controlsA commercial, pragmatic approach with the ability to see beyond the numbersConfidence working closely with senior managementExperience within wholesale, distribution, electrical, manufacturing or a similarly fast-paced sector would be advantageousThis is an excellent opportunity for a capable, hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function within an established electrical wholesale business.
