As a Fire and Security Service Engineer \ Small Works Engineer you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs, small works and fault-finding on systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, door access control and nurse call systems. DUTIES Your duties as the Fire and Security Service Engineer \ Small Works Engineer include: Carry Out Planned Maintenance: Complete planned preventative maintenance / PPM visits across commercial, industrial and care sector sites Service Fire and Security Systems: Service and maintain fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV systems, door access control and nurse call systems Diagnose and Repair Faults: Identify technical faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise disruption for customers Complete Small Works: Support small works activity across a range of fire and security installations and upgrades Maintain Industry Standards: Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations, industry standards and relevant guidance, including BS5839 Complete Service Reports: Record work accurately and complete service reports to a professional standard Provide Technical Support: Offer practical technical support and advice where required Deliver Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer service when working on customer sites CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL Proven experience working with fire and security systems Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and relevant regulations Strong fault-finding ability Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and customer-facing skills Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Own hand tools and drills Full UK Driving Licence Right to work in the United Kingdom DESIRABLE ECS or CSCS card BENEFITS Company vehicle / company car Overtime opportunities Ongoing training and professional development Stable, long-term employment Supportive management team HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
