This role can offer perm or temp agreement. Please note: a full DBS check is required for this role given the nature of the environments — care homes, schools and apartment blocks. The Role As Fire Door Inspector, you will carry out visual surveys of front entrance fire doors across care homes, schools and apartment blocks throughout East Anglia. You will survey approximately 50 doors per day, recording all findings accurately using OneTrace. Working hours are 8am to 5pm, with site access managed by the client. Key Responsibilities * Carry out visual fire door surveys across care homes, schools and apartment blocks in East Anglia * Survey front entrance fire doors — approximately 50 doors per day * Record all survey findings accurately using OneTrace * Identify defects and non-compliance issues in line with current fire door regulations and standards * Work independently across multiple sites, using a badge provided by the client for access * Maintain a professional and respectful approach when working within care home and school environments * Potential to carry out minor fire door repairs as the role develops What We're Looking For * Proven experience carrying out fire door inspections — essential * Strong technical knowledge of fire door compliance including gaps, tolerances, ironmongery, intumescent seals and signage * Experience using OneTrace — desirable * Experience working within care homes, schools or occupied residential environments — desirable * Full DBS check — required * Relevant fire door qualifications — required * FDIS or equivalent fire door inspection certification — desirable * CSCS Card — desirable * Full UK Driving Licence — required * A genuine commitment to doing the right thing and delivering works to a high standard What's On Offer * Competitive day rate (DOE) * Sub-contract or employed engagement — open to discussion * Company vehicle or fuel card provided * Trial period available before committing * Potential for the role to extend into repairs * Work across varied and meaningful environments with a values-driven business * Working hours 8am–5pm
