ATK Solutions is currently working with x 2 Fire Risk Consultancies in the North East who are seeking a competent Fire Risk Assessor to join their team to deliver complex #FireRiskAssessments and receive training to become an Advanced Fire Consultant. Training provided for a qualified Fire Risk Assessor with some experience.

current fire-safety legislation . Role Purpose We are seeking an
experienced Fire Risk Assessor
to join our client's expanding fire-safety team. Local work. The successful candidate will carry out
comprehensive fire risk assessments
across varied property types, producing
high-quality reports
and offering
clear, practical guidance
to support compliance and improve safety standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct
Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs)
in line with statutory requirements and relevant guidance. Assess a broad range of building types, including
residential housing ,
social-landlord stock ,
blocks of flats ,
HMOs ,
commercial premises , and
new-build projects . Carry out
fire-door inspections ,
compartmentation surveys , and assessments of escape routes and fire-safety systems. Prepare
clear, detailed reports
with actionable recommendations and risk ratings. Advise clients on
fire-safety improvements , remedial actions, and ongoing risk management. Collaborate with wider consultancy teams on
specialist fire-safety projects
when needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of
fire-safety legislation ,
building regulations , and best practice. Skills & Experience Proven experience delivering
FRAs
within residential and/or commercial settings Strong understanding of
UK fire-safety legislation
(FSO 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021, Building Safety Act 2022) Ability to assess complex and high-density residential environments such as
flats and HMOs Excellent report-writing skills
and professional communication High attention to detail with the ability to identify
immediate hazards
and
long-term fire-safety risks Professional,
client-focused approach Relevant
fire-safety qualifications
(e.g., NEBOSH Fire Safety, FPA FRA certification Familiarity with
PAS 79

You'll be conducting fire risk assessments across various premises, supported by senior team members, while also gaining valuable experience in fire door inspections and reporting. Ideal candidates will need to have a
Level 3 Fire Safety-related qualification , experience with
Fire Door Inspections , a driver's license and access to their own car. What You'll Be Doing: Conducting fire risk assessments under supervision across a range of sites Completing fire door inspections and producing detailed, accurate reports Using

to manage and submit assessments Preparing clear, compliant reports with practical, actionable recommendations Communicating effectively with clients at all levels, both on-site and remotely Balancing your time between home-based reporting and on-site inspections (approx. 50/50) Working closely within a collaborative team, receiving regular guidance and support What We're Looking For: A

full UK driving licence
