Fire Safety ManagerLocation: DevonSalary: £60,000 per annum + excellent benefitsLength: PermAre you an experienced fire safety professional looking for a role where your expertise will genuinely make a difference?We are supporting a highly respected housing organisation to appoint a Fire Safety Manager , a key leadership position responsible for shaping and delivering fire safety compliance across a large residential property portfolio.This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical safety function, providing professional leadership, assurance and direction across fire risk management, remediation programmes, fire doors, passive fire protection and resident safety.Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams, contractors and external stakeholders, you will play a central role in ensuring that fire safety risks are identified, managed and continuously improved; helping to keep residents safe in their homes.The roleAs Fire Safety Manager, you will:Lead the organisations fire safety strategy, governance and assurance frameworkAct as the lead competent fire safety professional, providing expert advice and challengeOversee fire risk assessment programmes, remedial actions and compliance improvement plansDrive delivery of fire door, compartmentation and passive fire protection programmesProvide clear reporting and assurance to senior leadership and governance forumsSupport incident investigations, enforcement responses and continuous learningLead and develop a specialist fire safety teamBuild strong relationships with residents, contractors, regulators and internal stakeholdersAbout youYou will be an experienced fire safety professional with a strong background in residential environments, ideally within social housing, local authority housing or a similarly complex setting.Youll bring:Significant experience managing fire safety compliance across occupied residential buildingsStrong knowledge of fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, Fire Safety Act, Fire Safety (England) Regulations and Building Safety Act requirementsExperience overseeing fire risk assessments, fire door programmes and passive fire protection worksThe confidence to influence senior stakeholders and challenge where necessaryExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage residents, contractors and leadership teamsA practical, risk-based approach with a passion for improving safety standardA relevant fire safety qualification (Level 4 or above, or equivalent professional competence) and evidence of continued professional development are essential.Why this opportunity?This is more than a compliance role.
