Midlands-based | Nationwide travel | Permanent full time position Monday - Friday.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire & Security Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a small, well-established Fire & Security business based in Worcester. With many years of industry experience, the company specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of fire and security systems, supporting clients across the West Midlands and throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth, the company is looking for a reliable and motivated engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. This is a varied role involving the installation, testing, commissioning and handover of fire and security systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare and public-sector environments.
What we need from you:
A minimum of three years experience in fire and security installation and commissioning
Experience installing and commissioning fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems
Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
A good understanding of the relevant British Standards and industry requirements
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A quality-focused approach and pride in your workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
A professional manner when dealing with clients and site teams
Willingness to travel nationwide
Hold a current UK Driving Licence
What this role involves: As part of this position, you will be responsible for installing, testing and commissioning a range of fire and security systems, ensuring each project is completed to the required standards and successfully handed over to the client. Duties will include: Installing and commissioning fire alarm systems, CCTV systems, access control systems and intruder alarm systems Testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting systems Completing commissioning documentation and handover records accurately Ensuring all work complies with the relevant British Standards and client requirements Working closely with Project Managers, clients and site teams Maintaining high standards of workmanship, customer service and professionalism Following all health and safety requirements while working on site
Hours:
Full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday. Core hours are 7am
5pm depending on location.
