Location: Midlands with nationwide travel
Salary: £38,000£43,000, depending on experience
Benefits: Door-to-door travel pay, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
An established fire-protection business is seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Engineer with Room Integrity Testing expertise.
This field-based role involves installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining gaseous fire suppression systems and associated fire detection equipment across commercial, industrial, data centre, telecommunications and critical-infrastructure sites.
Responsibilities
Service, maintain, commission and test gaseous fire suppression systems.
Complete planned maintenance, fault-finding, repairs and remedial works.
Work with systems including Novec 1230, FM-200, Inergen, CO2 and Argonite.
Conduct Room Integrity Tests using calibrated door-fan equipment.
Calculate agent hold times and analyse results using specialist software.
Identify leakage paths and recommend enclosure improvements.
Produce accurate service reports, test certification and compliance records.
Work in accordance with BS EN 15004, ISO 14520, BS 5839 and FIA guidance.
Requirements
Experience with gaseous fire suppression systems.
Practical Room Integrity Testing experience.
Strong fault-finding and technical reporting skills.
Knowledge of relevant fire-industry standards.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel nationally, including occasional overnight stays.
FIA qualifications, manufacturer training and relevant electrical or Room Integrity Testing certifications would be advantageous. xwzovoh
