Job Description HGV FitterJoin the Gaskells TeamGaskells (North West) Ltd is looking for a skilled and motivated HGV Fitter to join our Contract Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician who enjoys working across a variety of customer sites, delivering high-quality maintenance and repairs while ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and roadworthy.The RoleAs an HGV Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on customer heavy goods vehicles under our third-party maintenance contracts. Key ResponsibilitiesService, inspect and repair HGVs under maintenance contracts.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.Carry out Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), pre-MOT inspections and defect rectification.Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately and on time.Deliver reactive maintenance and breakdown support across customer sites when required.About YouEssentialQualified HGV Technician (Time Served, IRTEC or City & Guilds).Minimum 23 years' experience in a similar HGV maintenance role.Positive, flexible and reliable attitude.DesirableHGV Driving Licence.Electrical fault-finding experience.Basic welding skills.Competitive salary.xkybehq Apply TodayIf you're an experienced HGV Fitter looking for your next opportunity with a respected North West business, we'd love to hear from you.
