Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer

The Role
As a Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and detailed drainage designs for a range of development projects.
Your role will include:
·Preparing flood risk assessments and drainage strategy reports for planning applications.
·Designing drainage schemes using tools such as InfoDrainage and/or MicroDrainage.
·Supporting detailed drainage design for residential and commercial developments.
·Liaising with clients, council officers, architects, planning consultants and wider design teams.
·Providing clear technical advice through reports, meetings, emails and presentations.
·Attending design team meetings and supporting project delivery.
About You
You will have:
·A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree, such as Civil Engineering.
·Experience in flood risk assessments and drainage design.
·Experience preparing reports for planning applications.
·Knowledge of AutoCAD.
·An understanding of relevant guidance including NPPF, CIRIA SuDS Design Manual, Sewer Sector Guidance and Building Regulations.
·Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·Good numeracy and problem-solving ability.
·Experience using Microsoft Office packages.
·A full UK driving licence.
Experience with fluvial and pluvial flood risk modelling, or S104 drainage design, would be advantageous.
