Foreman (Groundworks) (Plymouth) – Fulltime An opportunity to work on our MOD project in Plymouth, delivering major redevelopment works over the coming years. PAYE basis Competitive rate depending on experience/qualifications Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays) Must Have: * Black CSCS Manager Card * Level 2 NVQ in Construction Operations – General Construction or Level 2 NVQ Construction & Civil Engineering Operations (Groundworks) * SMSTS * Previous experience as a Groundworks Foreman on major construction or infrastructure projects * Experience in enabling works, including managing subcontractors * Experience in core drilling, saw cutting, dowel installation and concrete base excavations * Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures * Ability to manage and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors * Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills * Reliable and proactive approach to work * Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance * Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years This role is site based - Monday to Friday 45 hours per week 07:30am - 17:00pm Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate groundworks and enabling works across site * Manage subcontractors and coordinate daily activities * Oversee core drilling, saw cutting, dowel installation and concrete base excavations * Coordinate labour, plant and materials to ensure works remain on programme * Monitor workmanship and ensure works meet required quality standards * Liaise with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and site management * Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with project procedures * Monitor progress and report any issues or delays to site management * Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment * Support the successful delivery of major MOD infrastructure works Some Benefits: Pension Safe working environment Secure regular income Lodge/Digs can be available.
