Priory Hospital Hazelwood House has an opportunity for a HCPC registered forensic Psychologist to join our team.

Main duties of the job

You will join the team at Priory Hospital Hazelwood House. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

• Conducts timely assessments following referrals to develop effective, person-centred therapy plans using appropriate interventions.
• Delivers individual and group therapy sessions, adapting treatments and activities to meet clients' needs and therapy goals. 
• Manages an assigned caseload, maintaining regular communication with clients, colleagues, and the multidisciplinary team while meeting agreed timescales.

Priory Hospital Hazelwood House, Heath, Derbyshire is a low secure unit for 12 males with mental health needs. It is accessible by public transport, with Chesterfield railway station approximately 23 miles from the service and limited local bus links. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

• This role requires a minimum of a completed and recognised postgraduate qualification leading to eligibility for HCPC registration.

Desirable

• British Psychological Society (BPS) registration is beneficial
