Freelance Building Surveyor – Hospital Condition Surveys Location: Ayrshire & Arran, Scotland Rate: £300–£350 per day (Umbrella) + Mileage Contract: Freelance (Inside IR35) Start Date: 1st September 2026 Duration: 3 Weeks An established property consultancy is seeking an experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to undertake condition surveys across hospital sites within Ayrshire & Arran. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor who is confident carrying out detailed building fabric inspections and recording survey data using Asseticom. The RoleYou will be responsible for completing comprehensive condition surveys across operational healthcare buildings, assessing the condition of building fabric and associated elements while accurately recording findings directly into Asseticom. Responsibilities Carry out detailed condition surveys across hospital buildings Inspect and assess the condition of building fabric and associated elements Record survey information accurately using Asseticom Ensure survey data is completed to a high standard and in line with project requirements Work safely and professionally within live healthcare environmentsRequirements Previous experience carrying out building condition surveys Experience using Asseticom is essential Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline Good understanding of building construction, defects and maintenance Strong attention to detail and accurate data capture skills Full UK driving licence and access to a vehiclePackage £300–£350 per day (Umbrella) Mileage reimbursed Inside IR35 3-week contract Start date: 1st September Opportunity to work on a major healthcare surveying programme Immediate interviews available
