VACANCY Role: FURNITURE FLAMMABILITY TECHNICIAN Location: Kettering, UK Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per annum Hours: 37.5 hrs per week Ref:42/26 We have a vacancy for a Full time Technician to work in our Furniture Flammability department.

SATRAs Furniture Flammability department is an international centre of excellence for furniture testing, training, consultancy and innovation.
Our expertise makes SATRA the premier technical partner for suppliers, manufacturers and retailers of furniture and its components.
We test against national, European and international standards, as well as key retailer specifications, to give our customers the confidence that their furniture is fit for purpose and safe to use.
Responsibilities As a Furniture Flammability Technician you will be required to carry out the following: Preparation and conditioning of samples Testing samples to British, European and International Standards Maintaining cleanliness of lab areas Planning and agreeing testing schedules About You Successful candidates will be required to have the following: Essential GCSE Maths, English & Science minimum Grade C (Grade 5 or above) Excellent written and oral communication skills Good computer skills word & Excel Able to work to deadlines Be able to follow instructions accurately & have a good attention to detail Demonstrable experience of organisation and planning skills Good time management and scheduling skills Ability to work alone or as part of a team Flexibility, tenacity and a can-do attitude Desirable Experience working within the furniture industry Experience xwzovoh working within a regulated laboratory environment Experience in testing different types of consumer products Full, clean driving licence Benefits Include Staff benefits include 25 30 days (service related) annual leave; life assurance; a group personal pension plan; income protection; free parking.
