Woodworking Machine Operator / Furniture Manufacturing Operative 📍 Location: Worcester (Blackpole) 💷 Pay Rate: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour 🕒 Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00 Friday: 07:00 – 12:00 We are currently recruiting for a Woodworking Machine Operator / Furniture Manufacturing Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Worcester, Blackpole. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience within woodworking, furniture manufacturing, joinery, kitchen manufacturing or a similar production environment who is looking for a long-term role with the potential to become permanent. The company manufactures a wide range of bespoke worktops and work surfaces for customers across engineering, manufacturing, laboratories and electronics. Products include: Wooden and hardwood worktops Laminate and compact worktops Steel and stainless-steel work surfaces Anti-static (ESD) worktops Heavy-duty surfaces for engineering and manufacturing environmentsKey Responsibilities Operating woodworking and cutting machinery, including beam saw equipment Cutting timber, laminate and other materials to required measurements Measuring and positioning materials correctly before cutting Following job sheets, cutting lists and basic drawings Checking finished products for quality and accuracy Handling and moving materials around the production area Wrapping finished products and preparing them for dispatch Assisting with assembly and general manufacturing duties Keeping machinery and the work area clean and safe Supporting other production areas when requiredRequirements Previous experience within woodworking, furniture manufacturing, joinery, kitchen manufacturing or a similar production environment Experience using saws, cutting machines or woodworking machinery would be advantageous Beam saw experience is desirable but not essential Comfortable using measurements and working accurately Good attention to detail Reliable and punctual Able to work effectively as part of a team Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environmentThis is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturing company offering long-term work and the opportunity to develop further skills within woodworking and furniture manufacturing
