GCSE English & Maths Tutor - Chester The Opportunity Are you an experienced English or Maths teacher/tutor looking for flexible work? Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting tutors to deliver tailored GCSE English and Maths tuition to learners across Chester. You'll work on a 1:1 basis, helping students address gaps in their knowledge, develop stronger study skills and build the confidence they need to progress towards their GCSEs. Position Details * Location: Chester * Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor * Hours: 5-15 hours per week * Start Date: September 2026 * Duration: Ongoing What We're Looking For Applicants should have: * Experience delivering GCSE English and/or Maths * Strong knowledge of the relevant GCSE curriculum * QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred) * The ability to adapt teaching to individual learners * A positive and encouraging approach To be eligible, you must: * Hold the Right to Work in the UK * Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one * Provide two professional child-related references Why Apply?
