GCSE English & Maths Tutor - Wrexham Prospero Teaching are looking for experienced GCSE English & Maths Tutors to support learners across Wrexham! The Opportunity We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable tutors to deliver 1:1 GCSE tuition to secondary-aged learners. Students may require additional support due to gaps in their education, additional needs or difficulties engaging with mainstream education. You will work with learners individually, helping them strengthen their subject knowledge and develop the confidence they need to progress. Position Details: Location: Wrexham Position: GCSE English & Maths Tutor Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications: Experience delivering GCSE English and/or Maths Strong knowledge of the relevant GCSE curriculum QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable Previous 1:1 tutoring experience is beneficial Ability to adapt lessons to individual learners Experience supporting learners with additional needs is advantageous To be eligible for this role, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to obtain one Provide two professional child-related references Apply Today Whether your specialism is English, Maths or both, we'd love to hear from experienced teachers and tutors who are available for flexible work from September.
