We’re recruiting an experienced and charismatic General Manager to lead a stylish, high-volume neighbourhood bar and restaurant in the heart of Richmond.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established venue with a strong local following, leading from the front to deliver outstanding hospitality, develop a brilliant team and drive continued commercial growth.
The role
As General Manager, you’ll have full responsibility for the performance and day-to-day operation of the venue. You’ll create a positive, high-energy environment where customers receive an exceptional experience and the team feels motivated, supported and accountable.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading, inspiring and developing the management and wider venue team
* Delivering sales, profit, labour and operational targets
* Maintaining consistently high standards across food, drink and service
* Recruiting, retaining and developing high-performing team members
* Managing stock, wastage, payroll and wider financial controls
* Ensuring full compliance with licensing, food safety and health and safety requirements
* Creating a collaborative, professional and enjoyable team culture
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a confident, outgoing and commercially minded hospitality leader who brings energy and personality to everything they do.
You’ll ideally have:
* Previous experience as a General Manager within a quality bar, restaurant or premium pub environment
* A strong record of leading and developing successful teams
* Excellent commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, labour and profitability
* High standards and a genuine passion for customer experience
* The confidence to be visible on the floor and build relationships with regular customers
* Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
* A hands-on leadership style and the ability to remain composed during busy services
