General Operative

Nottingham | Full-time | Permanent | Manufacturing Environment Are you an enthusiastic, hands-on Production Operative with machine operating experience, looking for a new role with a great employer? This welcoming, well-established manufacturing company on the outskirts of Nottingham, who is looking for a proactive Production Operative to join their production team. What you'll be doing: You’ll play an important role in supporting production and business operations, including: * Working across production areas — machine minding, secondary operations, packing, assembling and more * Using ERP to book labour and update records * Carrying out stock taking and updating spreadsheets * Inputting data with accuracy and attention to detail * Reporting hazards or near-misses using iAuditor * Suggesting improvements and supporting continuous improvement activities * Following production processes, quality standards, GMP/GDP and good housekeeping * Taking part in training to build your skills and knowledge What We’re Looking For * Previous experience in a machine operative role * Good attention to detail * Comfortable using computers or handheld devices * Accurate written and verbal communication skills * Ability to follow instructions and work to processes * Dexterity and confidence in hands-on work * Basic mechanical skills (advantageous) * Experience with ERP systems (advantageous) Behaviours * Strong work ethic and a positive, “get stuck in” attitude * Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn * Reliable, with good timekeeping * Able to work independently and as part of a busy team * Comfortable working with colleagues and stakeholders across the business This role suits someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety and is motivated by being part of a supportive, close-knit team.
