Are you a Geotechnical Engineer with extensive experience working on large scale infrastructure based projects?   Geotechnical & Earthworks Engineer Location: Buckinghamshire (hybrid 2 days wfh) Rate: £400-£440 per day | Inside IR35 Duration: Ongoing   This is a great opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical / Earthworks Engineer to support the delivery on one of the largest ongoing infrastructure projects, where you will provide Geotechnical support on HS2.   This is a site-focused construction support role, ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, interpreting live ground conditions and working closely with construction and design teams on a major UK infrastructure project.   Key Responsibilities:   ·Respond to TQs, RFIs and EWNs relating to geotechnical and earthworks issues. ·Review and interpret site observations, ground conditions, testing and monitoring data. ·Update interpreted ground models based on construction-stage findings. ·Coordinate updates to the Geotechnical Risk Register. ·Support the use of the Observational Method where required. ·Review geotechnical and earthworks Temporary Works where they interface with permanent works. ·Review PMAFs, Field Change Requests, shop drawings and fabrication details. ·Support technical queries with site and design teams. ·Review monitoring and testing results and contribute to technical reports. ·Support production of as-built drawings and records. ·Maintain quality, programme and Health & Safety requirements.   Candidate Requirements:   ·BSc/BEng or equivalent in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earthworks or a related discipline. ·Extensive experience on Design & Build infrastructure projects. ·Strong experience with geotechnical and earthworks issues during construction. ·Experience interpreting Ground Investigation data, monitoring data and site conditions. ·Experience working with TQs, RFIs, EWNs, FCRs or similar technical documentation. ·Strong communication and coordination skills. ·Rail, highways or other major linear infrastructure experience preferred. ·Chartered status preferred, but not essential
