Salary: £16.90 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility required for occasional evening and weekend meetings)

Apple Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Good Relations Officer based in Fermanagh.
This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of community engagement initiatives, promoting positive relationships, cultural diversity and inclusive community development. The successful candidate will work closely with community groups, statutory organisations and voluntary sector partners to develop and deliver projects that strengthen community capacity and encourage cross-community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and delivery of the Good Relations Strategy and Action Plan.
Coordinate and deliver projects and programmes that promote cross-community engagement and cultural diversity.
Engage with community groups, statutory organisations and voluntary sector partners to develop and deliver Good Relations initiatives.
Support consultation and research activities to inform the development of strategies and programmes.
Provide advice and support to internal departments to help embed Good Relations principles across organisational activities.
Identify funding opportunities and support the development of project proposals.
Administer grant funding programmes, including advising community groups and assisting with application assessments.
Organise and support events, workshops, conferences and training sessions that promote community relations and cultural diversity.
Monitor project progress, maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management and relevant stakeholder groups.
Build community capacity within rural localities and support the delivery of grant funding from the Housing Executive and other funding bodies, including local councils.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with community, voluntary and statutory organisations.
Attend community meetings and engagement events, including occasional evening and weekend meetings.
Essential Criteria Applicants must have:
- A Degree-level qualification OR at least 4 years' relevant experience in Good Relations, community engagement or community development.
A minimum of 2 years' experience delivering projects within communities and supporting Good Relations initiatives.
Experience assisting with strategy development and implementation.
Experience in project management or programme delivery.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Knowledge and understanding of Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act and the legislative framework relating to equality and good relations.
Experience working collaboratively with community stakeholders and partner organisations.
A full current driving licence and access to transport (or the ability to meet the travel requirements of the role).
Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
Ability to engage effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders.
Basic Access NI clearance (required prior to commencement).
Desirable Criteria
- Experience working with community or voluntary organisations.
