Graduate Construction project manager

Graduate / Trainee Project Manager Tewkesbury £26,000 – £28,000 per annum We are recruiting for a Graduate / Trainee Project Manager to join an established specialist construction subcontractor based in Tewkesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to begin a career in construction project management. No previous project management experience is required, as full training and support will be provided. You will work alongside experienced Project Managers and Contracts Managers, gradually taking on more responsibility as your knowledge and confidence develop. The Role Your duties will include: * Assisting with the planning and delivery of construction projects * Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination * Liaising with clients, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers * Helping to organise labour, materials and deliveries * Monitoring project programmes and key deadlines * Attending site meetings and project progress meetings * Assisting with project documentation, reports and records * Helping to resolve day-to-day issues on live projects * Monitoring health & safety requirements and site procedures * Supporting the commercial and estimating teams where required * Visiting sites to monitor progress and ensure works are being completed correctly * Learning how projects are managed from initial order through to completion and handover The Candidate We are looking for an ambitious graduate who wants to develop a long-term career within construction. A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying or a related construction discipline would be ideal, although other relevant degrees will also be considered. You should be organised, confident communicating with different people and keen to learn. A driving licence would be advantageous due to the requirement to visit project sites.
