A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Greenwich is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate considering a career in teaching to gain invaluable classroom experience in a supportive and ambitious school. The Role As a Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant, you will: Support students across History, Geography and Religious Education lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4. Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help students achieve their full potential. Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities. Encourage student engagement and foster a passion for the Humanities. Support pupils with varying learning needs, helping to create an inclusive learning environment. Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents. The Ideal Candidate A degree in History, Geography, Politics, Philosophy, Religious Studies, or another Humanities-related subject. A genuine passion for education and supporting young people. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive, organised, and enthusiastic approach. Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential. An interest in progressing into teacher training or a career in education is highly advantageous.
