Senior Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Machining Work Schedule: Support may be available for candidates required to relocate closer to the Tewkesbury area, subject to business approval. Due to continued growth across our Commercial Aircraft Group, Moog is expanding its Manufacturing Engineering capability. Moog Commercial Aircraft Group in Tewkesbury is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership across machining operations, New Product Introduction activities and manufacturing process development. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can drive manufacturing excellence, support complex machining challenges and mentor others within the engineering team. Lead the development and implementation of lean manufacturing processes focused on quality, cost and delivery. Create and optimise machining processes for complex aerospace components using Siemens NX and associated CAD/CAM technologies. Provide Design for Manufacture (DfM) input during product development activities. Review engineering drawings and recommend design improvements to enhance manufacturability and standardisation. Mentor and support Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians in tooling, gauging and fixture design. Support strategic manufacturing initiatives and operational excellence programmes. Significant Manufacturing Engineering experience within a precision machining environment. Advanced CNC programming expertise using Siemens NX. Experience leading NPI programmes from concept through to production. Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering colleagues. Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent). 5 Axis Milling (Okuma MU4000V or equivalent) and Millturn (Mazak I100, I200 or DMG NTX 1000) Exposure to EDM, honing, lapping, grinding, flow deburring, anodising and heat treatment processes. Exposure to advanced manufacturing processes including automation.
