Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in education? Are you passionate about supporting young people and keen to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teaching or further education?
We are currently recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in South West London, starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to gain hands-on classroom experience while supporting students with their academic, personal, and social development.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting students in and out of the classroom
Assisting teachers with learning activities and classroom engagement
Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
Supporting students with their academic progress and confidence
Encouraging positive behaviour and participation
Helping create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:
A graduate degree
A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine interest in education and working with young people
The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
