Maintenance Operative Grounds & Facilities Location: Yaxley / Peterborough area Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing Hours: Full-time Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join our clients facilities team, working across multiple sites in the local area. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining facilities to a high standard and is confident carrying out general grounds and property maintenance duties. The Role As a Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities will include: Preparing and maintaining sports halls, recreational areas and facilities Carrying out general grounds maintenance Mowing grass and trimming greenery Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas clean and presentable Emptying bins and arranging disposal of waste Opening and closing facilities as required Carrying out general property maintenance and basic repairs Checking facilities and reporting any maintenance issues Ensuring buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to a safe and high standard Supporting the wider facilities team with general duties as required Working across multiple sites, meaning travel between locations will be required About You We are looking for someone who is: Practical, reliable and hardworking Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors Able to carry out physical and manual duties Experienced in grounds maintenance, facilities, property maintenance or a similar role Able to work independently and use initiative Well organised with good attention to detail Friendly and professional when dealing with members of the public and facility users Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of duties A full clean UK driving licence is essential , as you will be required to work across multiple sites Previous experience in grounds maintenance, facilities management, caretaking, property maintenance or a similar position would be advantageous.
