Reporting to: Managing Partner (Rights Consultancy)

Fuse is seeking a Group Director to spearhead the direction and success of key agency accounts, all prominent brands with exciting sports partnerships.

At Fuse, Group Directors take a central role heading up their accounts, trusted to understand client businesses and lead communication with stakeholders, offering sound strategic counsel and recommendations that support the optimisation of client partnership investments. They are sport and entertainment partnership experts with fluency in the nuances and trends within these passion points, applying IP and rights expertise to create exciting plans that meet objectives, engage target audiences and overcome marketing challenges. Working collaboratively with other agency divisions, Group Directors help to provide consistent tangible value to clients. Internally, they guide day-to-day account teams, set the tone for their teams, support junior team member development, and ensure proactive, seamless client delivery. They are commercially astute with a seasoned understanding of budgets, profitability and commercial levers, and are comfortable discussing commercials related to client sponsorship investments or agency scopes and fee propositions. They have responsibility at the account P&L level and work with other Group Directors and the Operations team to drive resource efficiency, manage scopes, and ensure alignment across agency accounts. They also contribute to new business proposals and agency marketing and cultural initiatives through their knowledge and counsel.

  • Take a leading role in partnership acquisitions, including rights holder engagement and contracting support.
  • Create and negotiate scopes of work with clients, and oversee account profitability.
  • Oversee output and development of more junior team members.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Senior partnerships expert, confident in developing partnership strategies and providing expert counsel to senior-level clients (Director/CMO/CEO).
  • Maintain involvement in partnership activation plans while delegating detailed project management to the team.
  • Fluent in key partnership trends and how they impact brand activities.
  • Commercials & Operations
  • Understanding of key financial relationships and levers (resource planning, scoping, budget tracking, reconciliations, profitability, staff-cost ratios).
  • Ability to discuss and negotiate budgets, manage revenue and profitability targets, and oversee P&L for a group of accounts.
  • Excellent execution of scoping processes.
  • Experience negotiating partnership contracts is beneficial.
  • Communication & New Business
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident in leading senior-level client meetings and presentations.
  • Able to sell strategies and ideas with confidence and commitment.
  • Capable of outlining, creating and delivering major presentations and proposals (e.g., new business pitches and client proposals).
  • Growth mindset—always looking for growth opportunities.

  • Proactive ownership of projects and processes.
  • Builds and maintains strong, mutually respectful relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Mature communicator who can overcome challenges calmly and considerately.
  • Collaborative, approachable team-player and manager who actively develops the team.
  • Acts as a role model within the agency.
  • Flexibility to work in the London office with occasional UK travel, on-site at events and some weekend work.
  • This is a full-time role and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
