HCA / Support Worker

A Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is responsible for providing compassionate, person-centred care and support to patients with their daily activities, including washing, dressing, eating, toileting, mobility and personal hygiene. The role involves monitoring and recording vital signs, assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals, maintaining patient comfort and dignity, supporting infection prevention and health and safety procedures, communicating with patients and families, accurately documenting care, and promptly reporting any changes in a patient’s condition. HCAs should be caring, patient, reliable, respectful, and able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
