Macgregor Black are partnering with a Growing Toy Brand on the search for a Head of Amazon. This is a permanent role based in London.

Our client, a well-established global toy and play brand, is looking for a Head of Amazon to lead their UK & EU Amazon strategy. This is a senior, high-visibility role covering commercial strategy, pricing, growth planning, and stakeholder management, with responsibility for managing a team and representing the Amazon channel in senior internal conversations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the UK & EU Amazon strategy, including growth planning and long-term account development.
  • Lead pricing strategy and MAP/parity management across UK and EU marketplaces.
  • Manage the day-to-day commercial relationship with Amazon, including trading terms, negotiations, and Joint Business Plans (JBPs).
  • Represent Amazon channel strategy and performance in senior internal conversations, acting as the primary point of contact for leadership.
  • Manage and develop a team, setting objectives and building capability.
  • Work cross-functionally with supply chain, marketing, and finance to align Amazon plans with wider business objectives.
  • Monitor performance across Vendor Central and Seller Central, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Oversee advertising and retail media investment in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Toy industry experience is essential.
  • Proven experience managing direct reports, with a track record of setting objectives, developing talent, and leading a team.
  • Significant experience managing Amazon accounts at a senior level, ideally within FMCG, toys, or licensed consumer goods.
  • Strong working knowledge of both Vendor Central and Seller Central.
  • Proven track record negotiating trading terms, JBPs, and pricing strategy directly with Amazon.
  • Experience across multiple EU marketplaces, not solely UK.
  • Ownership of budget or P&L responsibility, with strong commercial and analytical judgement.
  • Comfortable operating autonomously and influencing at senior/leadership level, including presenting strategy and results to executive stakeholders.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the credibility to represent the Amazon channel and its strategic importance to senior leadership.
  • Experience with Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Products, DSP).
  • A second European language (German or French).
  • Experience managing external agency relationships.
