The Role

To lead and grow the College’s commercial and apprenticeship development portfolio by securing new business, strengthening client relationships, and overseeing the creation of high-value commercial proposals that support organisational growth and deliver strong employer outcomes.

• Permanent
• £57,464 per annum
• Jubilee Court Campus, Fforestfach, Swansea

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the College’s business development function, ensuring cohesive delivery across all commercial activity aligned to growth priorities.
• Provide clear direction to teams responsible for client acquisition, account management, commercial opportunity development and proposal production.
• Foster strong collaboration between business development, curriculum, marketing and quality teams to maximise commercial outcomes.
• Oversee a structured commercial pipeline covering new client acquisition and existing account growth.

About You

• Degree or equivalent qualification
• Leadership and Management qualification, or willingness to work towards one
• Proven experience in business development, commercial sales or client management
• Experience leading teams to achieve commercial or income targets
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• 37 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period
• Local Government Pension Scheme (average employer contribution of 21% in 2025)
