Head of Commercial Upto £74,000 + Car Allowance Stockport Permanent, Full-Time (40 Hours Per week) This role is initially based onsite but there may be the opportunity to transition to a hybrid working arrangement, subject to business needs and performance As part of Stockport Homes Group, we are the innovative construction and trading business known as Three Sixty SHG Ltd. We have formed and grown since inception back in 2016, with a pipeline of capital works projects, new build and other external refurbishment & alterations projects. Three Sixty has the vision to design, build, refurbish and regenerate places to improve economic and social outcomes for people. Three Sixty is seeking an experienced Head of Commercial to lead our commercial and business support functions, supporting the effective delivery of maintenance and construction services that meet the organisational goals. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing business administration, supply chain engagement, quantity surveying, procurement, compliance, stores, fleet management, customer liaison, and works scheduling to maximise efficiency. You will lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team, champion continuous improvement, and ensure strong commercial performance across the business. The Role As Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for ensuring that the business’s support services operate efficiently, effectively, and in line with organisational goals. Key responsibilities include: * Leading and developing high-performing commercial and business support teams. * Overseeing quantity surveying, estimating, procurement, and commercial disciplines across the business. * In association with group support services you will manage business administration processes, compliance documentation, and supplier payments. * Ensuring effective materials management through the Stores function and various procurement framework relationships. * Lead the scheduling team to maximise operational efficiency. * Driving quality management, service improvement, and digital transformation initiatives. * Managing contractor compliance, including health and safety and customer service requirements. * Managing fleet, plant and waste contract operations across the business. * Working closely with Finance to support budget management, forecasting, and financial controls. * Building strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and operational teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes. About You We're looking for a commercially minded leader with a passion for operational excellence and customer service. You'll bring: * Significant commercial management and leadership experience. * A strong understanding of maintenance and construction contracts arrangements. * Experience managing budgets, forecasting, procurement, and contract performance. * Confidence in the application of ICT systems. * A track record of leading change and implementing new ways of working. * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills. * The ability to motivate and develop multi-disciplinary teams. Qualifications Essential: * HNC, BTEC level 4 qualification in Surveying, Construction Management, Procurement, Business, Commercial Management, or a related discipline. Desirable: * Degree or professional qualification in Surveying, Construction Management, Business, Commercial Management, or a related discipline. * Relevant health and safety, procurement, or commercial qualifications. * Holding, or willing to work towards, qualifications and training required under the Regulator of Social Housing's Competence and Conduct Standard.
