This role is central to building understanding and pride in our purpose, performance and shared success.

You will shape and deliver engaging communications on business and Commonwealth priorities, with a strong focus on customers, SHE, recognition and employee-ownership. Working closely with Governance bodies, the Group Leadership Team and senior managers, you will support clear, meaningful engagement across the Group and actively seek feedback to continuously improve our communication and engagement approach.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build trust and credibility through clear, timely and honest communication, especially during periods of change
  • Own and shape the internal narrative, ensuring colleagues hear key messages directly and understand how their work connects to purpose
  • Act as a trusted communications adviser to senior leaders, helping shape messaging for key business initiatives, organisational change and strategic priorities
  • Coach and equip leaders and line managers to communicate in a human, authentic and effective way
  • Strengthen the colleague experience by creating inclusive, engaging communication across all touchpoints and channels
  • Use insight and feedback to manage sentiment, support culture, and continuously improve engagement and communication impact

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering strategic internal communications and engagement in a complex or multi-site organisation
  • Strong ability to coach senior leaders and managers to communicate with clarity, confidence and authenticity
  • Excellent storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
  • Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and handling sensitive or high-change situations
  • Strong planning, digital and analytical skills to prioritise effectively

At Scott Bader, we’re proud to be an employee-owned business where our colleagues share in our success and help shape the future of the company. Alongside a competitive salary and bonus scheme, we offer a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing, development and work-life balance, including:

  • Profit share and bonus schemes
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with option to buy more
  • Paid volunteering days and charity match funding
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Electric vehicle and Cycle to Work schemes
  • Subsidised canteen, free parking and onsite facilities at our Wollaston HQ

We also offer a collaborative and inclusive working environment where innovation, sustainability and community are at the heart of what we do.
