We have an excited opportunity for a Head of ERM to join our ambitious, growing general insurance group. This role will support the Risk Director in designing and maintaining the enterprise risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Embed effective risk management practices and promote a strong risk culture across the business.
- Maintain the Risk Appetite Framework, supporting the Board in setting, monitoring and reporting against risk appetite.
- Produce insightful risk reporting and analysis for the Executive Committee, Board Risk Committee and Board of Directors.
- Identify, assess and report emerging risks, including regulatory, economic, geopolitical, cyber and climate-related developments.
- Advise senior management on risk exposures, business impacts and risk exceptions.
- Ensure effective risk governance, policy management and regulatory compliance.
- Support the production of CRO reporting, Board papers and key regulatory documentation, including ORSA and SFCR.
About You:
- Experience in risk management, within the UK general insurance sector and an FCA/PRA regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management, regulatory reporting, SM&CR, the Three Lines of Defence model and general insurance risk categories.
- Experience implementing and enhancing Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks.
- Ability to present complex risk matters to Executive Risk Committees and senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, relationship building and communication skills.
