We are working with a leading Spirits business that is looking for a Head of National On Trade to take ownership of their channel strategy and drive the next phase of growth across their key On Trade partnerships.

This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. The business is looking for someone who can challenge the status quo, bring fresh ideas, and create a more data‑led and structured approach to their On Trade function.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of the channel, improving commercial performance, strengthening customer partnerships, and ensuring significant investment delivers measurable return.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing National Team On Trade team
  • Own and drive the On Trade strategy across key national customers, including M&B and Stonegate
  • Build and strengthen relationships with strategic accounts, identifying new opportunities for growth
  • Create improved reporting, forecasting and commercial processes to provide greater visibility of performance
  • Develop a more analytical approach to customer planning, investment and ROI measurement
  • Review and optimise trade marketing investment, ensuring activity delivers clear commercial outcomes
  • Challenge existing ways of working and introduce innovative approaches to increase brand presence and sales performance
  • Lead negotiations, joint business planning and commercial conversations with key customers

About You

  • Proven experience within Drinks On Trade, ideally across spirits, beer, wine or premium beverages
  • A strong understanding of national On Trade customers and how to unlock growth within these accounts
  • A commercially minded leader who can influence internally and externally
  • Experience managing and developing customer-facing sales teams
  • Someone who has successfully challenged traditional approaches and delivered tangible business growth
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to shape decisions and measure ROI
  • A high-energy, entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to challenge and disrupt
  • A track record of delivering measurable results, whether through revenue growth, distribution gains, improved execution or customer partnerships
