This is a great opportunity to be a key part of a highly motivated team and responsible for the management, strategy and administration of the Bromley Pension Fund.

The post reports to the Head of Corporate Finance & Accounting (Technical & Control Team).

This is an excellent opportunity within the financial services division for an experienced and highly motivated finance professional. This role is the strategic lead for all aspects of the London Borough of Bromley Pension Fund and the Senior LGPS Officer, as set out in the LGPS Consultation ‘Fit for the Future’. Part of a small team, you will also deputise for the Head of Corporate Finance & Accounting on any matters relating to the work of the team.

Responsibilities

Manage and develop the Bromley Pension Fund strategy and administration.

Provide leadership and governance oversight of the pension fund.

Communicate with Councillors, officers and other stakeholders across the authority.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proven experience in communicating with senior management.
• Leadership skills and knowledge of pension fund accounting and governance.
• CCAB qualified and/or extensive senior‑level financial experience (minimum 5 years).
• In‑depth understanding of local government frameworks, financial management and pension funds.
