Head of Procurement Glasgow | Permanent | £70,000+ benefits Alexander Steele Recruitment is working with a growing FMCG Wholesaler in Glasgow to appoint an experienced Head of Procurement. This is a senior, commercially focused opportunity for a procurement leader who can take ownership of strategy, strengthen supplier relationships and drive significant improvements in margin, efficiency and procurement performance. The Role Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will lead and develop the procurement function, with responsibility for: * Developing and delivering the overall procurement strategy * Leading and developing a high-performing buying team * Negotiating key supplier agreements, pricing, rebates and trading terms * Driving category strategy across chilled, frozen and ambient products * Identifying new sourcing and commercial opportunities * Improving procurement systems, data, reporting and KPIs * Building strong strategic relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners * Working closely with Sales, Finance, Operations and Marketing to maximise commercial opportunities * Providing senior leadership with market insight, commercial analysis and procurement recommendations About You We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with a strong commercial track record, ideally gained within FMCG, foodservice, wholesale or food manufacturing.
