Health and Safety Advisor

We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading business operating within the fresh produce sector. Based primarily at a new packhouse in Bridge, Canterbury, this is a multi-site role supporting managers and operational teams to maintain a safe, compliant and proactive working environment. You will work closely with the H&S Manager while taking ownership of key risk assessment, compliance and safety improvement activities. Health & Safety Advisor Key Responsibilities Advise managers and supervisors on day-to-day health and safety matters. Lead and review risk assessments and support the development of safe systems of work. Help embed the Safety Management System across operational teams. Lead H&S meetings and regularly carry out site safety walks. Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are completed. Assist with incident investigations and follow-up actions. Deliver health and safety initiatives, toolbox talks and training support. Manage contractor H&S requirements including RAMS, permits and site monitoring. Maintain statutory compliance records and monitor required inspections and testing. Analyse safety performance data and prepare reports.Health & Safety Advisor Key Skills and Experience NEBOSH General Certificate, essential. Minimum 2 years’ experience within Health & Safety.
