This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving, patient-focused practice, providing care across our three welcoming sites in Hornsea, Aldbrough, and Spring Bank, West Hull. If you enjoy variety in your working day and take pride in delivering high-quality patient care, we'd love to hear from you.

As a valued member of our clinical team, you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of patient services while providing essential support to our Practice Nurses and GPs. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference to patients' health and wellbeing, working alongside experienced and supportive colleagues in a collaborative environment.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, flexible, and committed to providing excellent patient care. In return, you'll become part of a forward-thinking practice that values teamwork, professional development, and delivering outstanding healthcare to our local communities.

Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support the clinical team by delivering a range of patient care services, including taking blood samples, recording observations such as blood pressure, height and weight, performing ECGs, administering B12, and supporting diabetic health checks. You will assist GPs and nurses with clinical procedures, maintain accurate patient records, support chronic disease management programmes, and help ensure high standards of infection prevention, patient confidentiality, and health and safety are maintained at all times.

About us

Eastgate Medical Group is a large organisation based in Hornsea with other sites in Aldbrough and Hull (Hastings Medical Centre). As part of the Yorkshire Coast and Wolds PCN in East Yorkshire and Symphonie PCN in Hull, we are a forward-thinking organisation striving to provide high quality patient care.

We are led by 9 GP-Partners, with support from Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Nurse-Prescribers, Long-term Conditions Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.

The Nursing Team is led by our Nurse Manager and includes experienced Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. Although we provide services across three practice sites, we work as one team, supporting each other to deliver high-quality patient care.

We are proud of our collaborative, friendly, and highly respected nursing team. Team members are given excellent training and encouraged to develop the confidence and skills to work independently, while always having the support of experienced colleagues nearby whenever needed. Whether it's advice on a challenging blood draw, assistance with a clinical procedure, or simply an extra pair of hands, help is always available. Most importantly, you'll be joining a team with a genuine sense of camaraderie, where everyone works together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

The clinical team is supported by trained Care Navigators, Dispensers and Administrators.
