A well-established risk management consultancy is seeking an experienced Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessor to join their growing technical team. The Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessor will carry out detailed assessments across a varied portfolio of residential and mixed-use properties, including more complex and higher-risk environments. The Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessor's Role The successful Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessor will be responsible for: Completing detailed Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessments across residential and mixed-use buildings. Assessing higher-complexity properties including high-rise residential blocks, supported housing, large developments and premises with extensive communal areas. Identifying hazards, reviewing existing controls and producing clear, evidence-based recommendations. Preparing technically robust reports that meet required quality and turnaround standards. Advising property managers, Responsible Persons, Accountable Persons and other relevant dutyholders. Attending client meetings to explain findings, priorities and recommended actions. Supporting and mentoring junior and developing assessors. Assisting with accompanied site visits, competency development and technical guidance. Undertaking peer reviews and report quality checks where appropriately authorised. Maintaining knowledge of current Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Building Safety legislation. Travelling to client locations, including occasional overnight stays. The Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessor The ideal Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessor will have: Strong experience delivering Fire and Health & Safety Risk Assessments. Experience with complex residential or mixed-use properties. A recognised qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, IFE, IFSM or equivalent. Good working knowledge of PAS 79, the Fire Safety Act and Building Safety Act. Excellent technical report-writing and client-facing skills. Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced assessors would be advantageous. A strong commitment to ongoing CPD and professional development. In Return?
