Location: North East / Yorkshire Type: Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced H&S Manager to join an established and growing construction business operating across the North of England. The role will provide hands-on health and safety support across civil engineering, infrastructure and utilities projects, working closely with site teams, project managers, subcontractors and senior management. The business delivers a broad range of civil engineering works including groundworks, earthworks, drainage, foundations, roads and sewers, utilities, remediation and infrastructure projects. The Role * Provide day-to-day H&S leadership across multiple construction projects. * Carry out site inspections, audits and investigations. * Review and monitor RAMS, CPPs and other H&S documentation. * Ensure compliance with CDM and current UK H&S legislation. * Work closely with site management and subcontractors to maintain high standards. * Support risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work. * Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and H&S training. * Monitor and improve site safety performance and reporting. * Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions. * Promote a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the business. * Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders. * Provide practical H&S advice across civils and infrastructure projects. About You The ideal candidate will have: * Previous experience in a construction/civil engineering H&S role. * NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. * Strong knowledge of CDM, RAMS and construction-site safety. * Experience working with subcontractors and site management teams. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * A practical, hands-on approach to health and safety. * The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. * A full UK driving licence
