Job summary

We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic Health Visitor to join our Torfaen Health visiting team. You will be working within a team of Health Visitors and skill mix staff delivering an Early Years Health visiting programme to families living within the Torfaen area.

The successful candidate will have the relevant qualification, professionalism and clinical skills necessary to work on their own initiative as well as working effectively in partnership with parents/carers and other services such as Early Years Services, , Primary Care, Children Services and School Nursing. Main duties of the job

The Health Visitor contributes to the development of new projects and policies within the health visiting service and is involved in the research, implementation and evaluation of evidence based practice. The post holder will be responsible for providing universal, enhanced, and intensiveHealth Visiting services to children and families from all cultural diversities on their case load. Health Visitors work as a team across locally defined areas and support the service across Gwent, to provide a safe service for all preschool children and their families.
